At the Mississauga Living Arts Centre, our Scout Troop gave members of our Community to enjoy toasting marchmallows over an open campfire, an activity that all who have attended a Scout camp have been able to enjoy.

We also took the opportunity, as a Group, to celebrate the birth of our Founder, Lord Baden-Powell, by holding our own Scout-Guide Week celebration at the LAC that afternoon. We enjoyed snacks and desserts in a room that the LAC graciously provided to us for that afternoon.

We also took the opportunity to present Alan Lipski, one of our Scouters, with his 25 year service award and to acknowledge Maria Cabral, our Group Administrator, who had received her 25 year service award at the last Mississauga Area meeting.

Thank you to our Scout Troop and Scout Leaders
for helping make this event such a great success!

Here are some photos of the events on that day.

The Canadian Path

As many of you now know, Scouts Canada has updated and upgraded the Scouting Experience by embarking on The Canadian Path. This new direction for Scouting in Canada focuses on bringing great Scouting Adventures to our youth and focuses on obtaining more input from the youth in designing a fun and rewarding program, careful planning of activities and review of the activities in order to continue to improve the program.

There are 6 Key Program Areas which make up The Canadian Path.

For more detailed information on the Canadian Path visit Scouts Canada's web site at http://www.scouts.ca/canadianpath/about.html.

Also you can check out the links on the indivdual Section pages on this web site for more information on the Canadian Path as it pertains to each Section.
