New Group Fundraiser - Jade Gardens

We are excited to present to you a new fundraising opportunity where you can help out our Scout Group while enhancing your garden and landscaping.

We now have an arrangement with Jade Gardens & Greenhouses, located at 5532 Trafalgar Road (click here to go to their web site), just south of Britannia Road. They offer an outstanding array of locally grown annual bedding plants including the tried and true plants that gardeners want every year as well as the unique show stoppers that you just can’t find at the more typical gardens centres. They ’ve got a vast selection of vegetable plants and herbs as well. Jade Gardens and Greenhouses is the place to go for perennials, hanging baskets and patio planters. They ’ve also got nursery stock including rose bushes, soils and peat moss, tropical plants, cacti, succulents and so much more!

All you have to do is to mention the 1st Meadowvale Scout Group when you check out, Our Scout Group will get 10% of the proceeds as a donation. This includes everything that you purchase including plants, flowers, planters, mulch etc.

This program is effective for all purchases made before December 2018.

If you are looking for perennials for your flower beds, annuals for your planters or even vegetables for your garden, please consider going to Jade Gardens for your purchase and help our Scout Group keep our supply of tents and camping gear and supplies up to date and in good condition.

Thank you for considering Jade Gardens for your gardening needs!

This is where you'll find all of the latest information on Group and Area events. Check back often.

The Canadian Path

As many of you now know, Scouts Canada has updated and upgraded the Scouting Experience by embarking on The Canadian Path. This new direction for Scouting in Canada focuses on bringing great Scouting Adventures to our youth and focuses on obtaining more input from the youth in designing a fun and rewarding program, careful planning of activities and review of the activities in order to continue to improve the program.

There are 6 Key Program Areas which make up The Canadian Path.

For more detailed information on the Canadian Path visit Scouts Canada's web site at http://www.scouts.ca/canadianpath/about.html.

Also you can check out the links on the indivdual Section pages on this web site for more information on the Canadian Path as it pertains to each Section.
