This year, in lieu of our usual in-person Mississauga Area Rally event, our Pack participated in the Central Escarpment Council Virtual Kub Kar Rally! Congratulations to all our Cubs that entered; the kars look amazing. Special shout out to Isaac who won best design award, and our race winner Quinn who placed 1st in Pack and 4th overall (out of 136 entrants).
It was a very tight race. There was only 0.020s (that’s right – two one-hundredths of a second) between the 1st place and 4th place kars, and just over three tenths of a second between fastest and slowest kars.
Although we couldn’t run our regular community food drive event this year, we challenged our Cubs to individually collect 5 items for the ‘Eden Food for Change’ food bank. Our challenge was met and then some! We were able to donate more than 50 boxes of food.
Our Pack took full advantage of the perfect weather, completing a 4 hour hiking adventure on “The Bruce”. Travelling through the Silver Creek Conservation Area, we enjoyed all this UNESCO world biosphere reserve has to offer.
